Terms & Conditions

In order to finalize your party booking, we require that you agree to the following party terms & conditions. By paying your nonrefundable deposit, you are agreeing to follow all terms and conditions below.

Please note, we do not provide refunds on the retainer/deposit should you choose to cancel your party for any reason. Reschedules may be permitted on a case-by-case basis with advance notice depending on availability. All retainers to secure your date or payments made prior to your party are non-refundable but the amount paid can be transferred to a new party date or towards a public event upon request.

GENERAL POLICIES AND REMINDERS

  • Refunds will not be given after performance is completed.

  • We do not provide refunds on the retainer/deposit should you choose to cancel your party for any reason. Reschedules may be permitted on a case by case basis with advance notice. All retainers to secure your date or payments made prior to your party are non-refundable.   

  • Specific actresses/artists may be requested but are not guaranteed.      

  • If you are late for your party, the performer/artist is not expected to stay later. They will stick to the original time frame. If in the unlikely event the performer is late due to traffic, weather conditions, unforeseen complications or other acts of God a phone call or text message will occur to inform the client of the delay with an estimated time of arrival. Any missed time will be made up for at the end of the visit. 

  • You must provide adequate space for group activities.

    • For character parties, we need at least a small space for characters and kids to move around.

      • For painting parties, we need a table with chairs for each painter.

      • For parties with face painting, we will need a corner of a table and two chairs for child and face painter. 

  • In the case of outdoor parties, provide a shady area for performers/artists, and coverage from any rain or inclement weather and free from hazard such as traffic, dangerous animals, sudden drop offs, etc. In the event that the work environment is not safe for our staff, we reserve the right to end the event early and no refund will be provided. 

  • We do not represent any Disney or copy-written character, artist, or artistic work. 

  • Parents must supervise their children at all times. Our performers/artists are in attendance to provide entertainment, not discipline for the children. 

  • Gratuity is not required but if you feel your performer/artist exceed your expectations it is always appreciated and can be given in cash or added to your final payment. 

  • Seattle’s Princesses and The Painted are not responsible for accidental injuries or property damage. It is the responsibility of the host and/or parents to provide appropriate supervision and a safe space. If a child is misbehaving, and putting others at risk, the parent MUST take that child aside.

  • Painted Palace staff may not be required to remove shoes or any other costume piece unless mandated by health or safety codes. Please note that all footwear worn to parties is kept clean and worn only for parties and is considered part of the costume. 

  • Anyone showing signs of illness or who has been exposed to COVID-19 within the past 14 days may not attend the party.

  • Guests must wash/sanitize hands frequently and party area must be kept as clean and sanitary as possible. If the party is held indoors, staff must have access to a sink and be able to wash their hands at any time.

  • Our performers and artists reserve the right to leave a party or event without refund if they feel unsafe or in danger including but not limited to verbal harassment from guests, inappropriate touching, dangerous party conditions, etc. In most cases, a first warning may be given to stop the behavior in order for the party to continue, however, if the behavior continues, our staff will leave, and you will not be permitted to book with The Painted Palace in the future.

  • The Painted Palace has a zero-tolerance policy for harassment and discrimination and reserves the right to end a party at any time if our staff is being mistreated due to gender, race, sexuality, disability, etc. 

  • In the case of dangerous inclement weather both the performer and the client have the right to reschedule the party. Refunds will not be given for the retainer payment, but we will prioritize your new preferred date or you can change your party to a virtual party.

  • In the rare case that our performer/artist is not able to perform the party due to covid exposure or illness we will do our best to replace them with another performer. If for some reason we do not have another performer available for the same character you will be given the choice to choose another character or reschedule the party for a later date and will be given a discount of 10% on the total party balance. 

  • For paint parties where we come to you, we require an estimated guest count at the time of booking and a final guest count 48 hours prior to booking. For any no shows, an $8 per painter charge will apply to cover administrative costs associated with your initial guest count. 

  • For paint parties, we require a painting selection to be made at least 48 hours prior to the event. If a painting is not selected, Painted Palace staff reserve the right to limit available painting selections or to choose the painting for you as needed.

GENERAL POLICIES AND REMINDERS

  • You will have 15 minutes for setup prior to your party and 15 minutes of cleanup at the end of your party. If you require additional time for setup or cleanup, please email us to inquire about adding time at a rate of $40 for 30 minutes or $75 for one hour. 

  • If you wish to hang any items on our walls, you may do so using painters tape or other tape that will not damage walls or decor. 

  • If you need to update your guest count, you must let us know at least 48 hours prior to your event to ensure that we can accommodate. Changes made within 48 hours may result in additional change fees.

  • If you would like to make any large changes to your party, we ask for at least one weeks notice to allow our staff time to make accommodations and adjustments when possible. Changes will be made on a case by case basis when available. 

  • Refunds will not be given after event is completed.

  • We do not provide refunds on the deposit/retainer should you choose to cancel your party for any reason. Reschedules may be permitted on a case by case basis with advance notice. All payments made prior to your party are nonrefundable.   

  • Guests choosing to drink alcohol must present valid ID. Party hosts must let The Painted Palace know in advance if they wish to have alcohol served at their event. No outside alcohol may be brought in per liquor laws and smoking or drugs of any kind are not permitted in The Painted Palace venue. 

  • Specific actresses or artists may be requested but are not guaranteed.      

  • If you are late for your party, additional time will be offered when available for a price of $40 for 30 minutes or $75 for one hour on a case-by-case basis when possible. If additional time is not available, The Painted Palace may make adjustments to your party to ensure that the time is used most effectively. 

  • We do not represent any Disney or copy-written character. 

  • Parents must supervise their children. Our performers and staff are there to provide entertainment and help run the overall party flow, not to discipline for the children. If a child is being unsafe the parent must take the child aside and correct the behavior. If children or guests are acting inappropriately or dangerously, they may be asked to leave and in extreme cases, the party may be ended early at the discretion of The Painted Palace.

  • Your party/event balance is due the day of your party and can be paid via cash, check, card, or venmo prior to leaving the venue. 

  • Gratuity is not required but if you feel your performer or artist exceed your expectations, it is always appreciated and can be given in cash or added to your final payment. 

  • Seattle’s Princesses and The Painted are not responsible for accidental injuries or property damage. 

  • If you or one of your guests causes damage to The Painted Palace venue, decor, building, etc. you are responsible for all costs associated with replacement or repair of the item. 

  • In the case of dangerous inclement weather both the performer and the client have the right to reschedule the party. Refunds will not be given for the retainer payment, but we will prioritize your new preferred date or can change your party to a virtual party.

  • Please note that noise makers, open flames (aside from candles during happy birthday), confetti, and silly string are not permitted in our venue. 

  • Anyone showing signs of illness or who has been exposed to COVID-19 within the past 14 days may not attend the party.

  • Payment for your final balance must be paid via cash, check, or card before leaving at the end of your party.

  • In the rare case that our performer/artist is not able to perform the party due to covid exposure or illness we will do our best to replace them with another performer or artist. If for some reason we do not have another character performer available for the same character you will be given the choice to choose another character or reschedule the party for a later date and will be given a discount of 10% on the total party balance. 

  • At the end of your party, we ask that you pack up any items you wish to bring with you but our staff will handle additional cleanup as well as all garbage. We include 15 minutes after the end of your party for you to say goodbyes to your guests as well as for packing and cleanup. 

  • For paint parties, we require a painting selection to be made at least 48 hours prior to the event. If a painting is not selected, Painted Palace staff reserve the right to limit available painting selections or to choose the painting for you as needed.

  • Absolutely no refunds will be given after event is completed.

  • We do not provide refunds on the retainer should you choose to cancel your party for any reason. Reschedules may be permitted on a case by case basis with advance notice. All retainers to secure your date or payments made prior to your party are non refundable.   

  • Specific actresses may be requested but are not guaranteed.      

  • If you are late for your party, the performer is not expected to stay later. They will stick to the original time frame.

  • In the unlikely event the performer is late due to technology or any other issue, a phone call will be made to inform the client of the delay with an estimated start time. Any missed time will be made up for at the end

  • We do not represent any Disney or copy-written character. 

  • Parents must supervise their children. Our performers are to provide entertainment, not discipline for the children. If a child is being unsafe the parent MUST take the child aside.  

  • Party balance must be paid prior to the start of your party. If you wish to tip your performer(s) please email us at info@paintedpalaceparties.com and we can assist with virtual tip payment. 

  • Performers may mute the party from time to time in order to ensure that everyone can hear. Guests are welcome to unmute at any time if they wish to talk. 

  • If anyone is acting in an inappropriate manner such as harassment of our performer or other guests, inappropriate visual behavior, or extreme foul language during a kids party, our staff will remove them from the party immediately or stop the party depending on the severity. No refund will be given, however, we will contact you with an explanation of why these actions were taken.

COVID POLICIES AND REMINDERS

  • Party hosts may not ask anything of our performers or non-costumed assistants that violates our policies or puts them in harms way.

  • We understand that it may be hard for little ones to understand why they can’t touch and hug their favorite princess or have their party in person. Explaining this before the party starts can help make things easier to understand and remember once the excitement starts!

  • In the rare case that our performer is not able to perform the party due to covid exposure or illness we will do our best to replace them with another performer. If for some reason we do not have another performer available for the same character you will be given the choice to choose another character or reschedule the party for a later date and will be given a discount of 10% on the total party balance.
