Virtual Painting Party FAQs!

Updated: Sep 15, 2021

Virtual painting parties are a great way to celebrate birthdays, holidays, wedding parties, or team building events with your friends and family from the safety of your own home! We also offer scheduled public classes you can join most Friday and Saturday evenings.

We know that virtual parties and events are all still a little new and unusual so we're here to answer all of your questions so you know what to expect and can plan the best party ever! Check out some of our virtual painting FAQs and let us know if you have any other questions!

Is the instructor live or pre-recorded?

The instructor teaches the painting step by step live during your painting session! This allows them to answer your questions and give helpful advice while you're painting plus they can adjust the pace of teaching to fit your group! If you prefer a pre-recorded session that you can follow along with and pause as needed we are happy to set this up upon request.

How long is the painting party/session?

Our virtual adult painting sessions last approximately an hour and a half but occasionally run a little longer or shorter depending on the complexity of the painting and how fast the participants paint. Our kids painting parties last 45 minutes to an hour and 15 minutes and are adjusted based on the age of the kids and attention spans.

What supplies do I need?

Each painting requires a canvas, a selection of acrylic paint colors, paint brushes, a cup of water, paper towels, and a plate or palette for mixing. We have painting kits available that include everything you need for your painting class but also allow you to use or purchase your own supplies in case you already have them or are joining from afar! If you are uncertain which paint colors you need for a specific painting you are interested in, please email us at info@paintedpalaceparties.com.

If I buy supplies through The Painted Palace how do I get them?

We are available for paint pickup at our Redmond Town Center venue on the day of any public class from 1:00-3:00pm or on Fridays from 11:00am-2:00pm. If you are booking a private party we can set up a custom paint pickup time or deliver them to your home or office (within the Greater Seattle Area) so you can distribute them to your guests.

How many people can join a virtual party?

As many as you want! We can accommodate up to 100 guests through our virtual zoom platform.

Can we talk or play music during the class?

Absolutely! We encourage you to treat your virtual painting party like a traditional party and grab a beverage or snack, play music or request a certain type of music from our instructor, and chat with your friends and family! We want you and your guests to have fun so if you have ideas or special requests please let us know!

Can we play games or do something special during our party?

We have a few zoom games we can share with you or help coordinate during your party. We are also happy to pass the reigns over to you if you want to say an introduction to your group, pass out awards, open presents, etc. If you would like to reserve additional zoom time to do your own activities during your private party please email for availability. During painting with a princess party, our characters will play games or read stories during breaks in the painting as part of your party package!

We hope this helps to answer some of your questions about virtual paint parties! If you have any additional questions please email us at info@thepaintedpalaces.com and we would be happy to answer.

We look forward to painting with you soon!
